Review of Inklings by Jeffrey Koterba

The reader is rewarded with stories about life with his turrets-stricken father, and protective mother who are the source of comic folly and anxiety. Jeffery’s mother ferries him to the pediatricians at age eighteen with long-running pretense that he has some liver problems, while anxiety and his own inherited turrets-syndrome are the true reason for visit. His father is king of TV repair, fiddling with and repairing old sets for extra money. Koterba is in no way way plaintive. This memoir is a tribute to the odd, but loving parents that shaped his art and life.

The society of knowledge and learning is replaced by a land of "factiods," where TV is king!
